Dedicated Servers

A dedicated server is a physical machine allocated exclusively to your organization. Unlike shared or virtual hosting, you get the full resources of the server — every CPU core, every gigabyte of RAM, and every IOPS of storage — with no noisy neighbors.

HUC dedicated servers are housed in our Bangalore (Frazer Town) facility and come with guaranteed uptime, redundant power, and direct access to our carrier-neutral network.

The hardware is identical across both models. The distinction is in the service level: managed servers come with more hand-holding, while bare metal gives you full control and flexibility.

Self-Install via IPMI

Bare metal (unmanaged) servers include a dedicated IPMI/BMC port. You can:

  1. Access the IPMI web interface using the credentials provided in your welcome email.
  2. Mount an ISO image from our library or upload your own.
  3. Use the remote console (HTML5 KVM) to perform the installation.
  4. Configure RAID, partitioning, and networking as needed.

For PXE boot and network installations, contact support to configure your server's BIOS/UEFI settings and network boot options.

Networking

Each server includes:

  • Public network: 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps uplink (configuration-dependent)
  • Private network: Isolated VLAN for inter-server communication at no extra cost
  • IPMI network: Dedicated out-of-band management interface (bare metal)
  • IPv4: 1 IP included, additional IPs available
  • IPv6: /64 block included

Bonded Interfaces

Configurations with dual network interfaces can be set up in:

  • LACP (802.3ad) — Active-active bonding for increased throughput
  • Active-backup — Failover bonding for high availability
  • Independent — Use each interface separately (e.g., one public, one private)

Ordering Process

  1. Select a configuration — Choose from our standard plans or request a custom build.
  2. Choose your OS — Select from our supported operating system list or self-install via IPMI.
  3. Pick a management tier — Fully managed, semi-managed, or unmanaged (bare metal).
  4. Select billing cycle — Hourly, daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual (discounts available for longer terms).
  5. Complete payment — Pay via your preferred method.
  6. Provisioning — Our team provisions and tests your server.
  7. Welcome email — Receive your access credentials and start deploying.
