Getting Started

Set up your HUC account, order your first server, and learn how to access support.

Getting Started

This guide walks you through setting up your HostUp Cloud account, placing your first order, and connecting with our support team.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit hostupcloud.com and click Sign Up.
  2. Enter your name, email address, and a strong password.
  3. Verify your email address by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
  4. Complete your profile by adding your organization name, billing address, and phone number.

HUC uses a unified Single Sign-On (SSO) system. One account gives you access to the client portal, billing dashboard, support tickets, and all other HUC services.

Step 2: Complete KYC Verification

For dedicated server and colocation orders, identity verification is required before provisioning:

  • Upload a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, or driver's licence).
  • Provide a GST number if you are ordering on behalf of a registered business.
  • Verification is typically completed within 1–2 business hours during support hours.

Step 3: Add a Payment Method

Navigate to Billing > Payment Methods in the client portal to add your preferred payment method. We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
  • UPI
  • Net banking
  • Bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS)

See the Billing & Payments page for full details.

Step 4: Order Your First Server

  1. Go to Services > Order New in the client portal.
  2. Choose your product type: Dedicated Server, Bare Metal, or Colocation.
  3. Select your preferred configuration (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth).
  4. Choose a management tier if applicable (fully managed, semi-managed, or unmanaged).
  5. Pick your billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual).
  6. Review the order summary and confirm.

Dedicated and bare metal servers are physical hardware. Provisioning takes 4–24 hours depending on configuration and stock availability. Colocation setup is scheduled after a site survey.

Step 5: Access Your Server

Once your server is provisioned, you will receive a welcome email containing:

  • Server IP address(es)
  • Root/Administrator credentials
  • IPMI/BMC access details (for bare metal and colocation)
  • DNS configuration instructions

Connecting via SSH (Linux)

ssh root@your-server-ip

Connecting via RDP (Windows)

Use the Remote Desktop Connection client and enter the IP address provided in your welcome email.
